This is the largest barrier reef in the Atlantic Ocean, which is the main tourist attraction of Belize, located a few kilometers from the coast.

It is a series of coral reefs along the coast of Belize. Their length is 280 kilometers at a distance of 13 to 24 kilometers from it. This reef system is the second largest in the world after the Australian Great Barrier Reef.

On the islands there are sea resorts with numerous diving centers. The best place for diving is the coastal waters of the island of Ambergris, in the southern part of which is the marine reserve Hol-Chan.
