Throughout the European Union, by 2021, plastic ware will be banned. The European Parliament approved the relevant law.
European legislators supported the adoption of measures to reduce the amount of plastic that pollutes the environment. It is proposed to prohibit the use of 10 types of disposable plastic products, which are most often used on the beaches of Europe. These include plastic plates and cutlery, cocktail tubes, ear sticks, plastic bags, and fast food containers made of polystyrene. The ban will come into force in 2021 in the territory of all EU member states.
