Cyprus has a truly priceless treasure - a mysterious world of frescoes, which for many centuries were created by skilled craftsmen. Painted Cypriot churches preserved on their walls a unique fresco painting, the language of the images narrating about the evangelical events, which are organically supplemented with the plots of the Old Testament that are crucial for Christianity and the faces of the saints, whose merits in the formation of Christianity are boundless. And although in the murals of temples there is often felt the influence of Western art, the tradition and the aesthetics of the Byzantine canons dominated the masters of the Cypriot school.
