The national cuisine of Costa Rica is a typical Latin American cuisine. The basis of dishes is beans, rice, fish, meat and vegetables. Costa Ricans do not really like spices, they add them more often to sauces. Casados is a favorite dish of the inhabitants of the "rich coast". The dish is made from rice, beans, vegetables. Serve it with meat (usually beef). The most popular drink is coffee.
