Do not be frightened off by the title "Croatia's most visited park": firstly, Plitvice Lakes have earned it, and secondly, it will not be closely here. Imagine only: 16 emerald karst lakes and 92 silvery waterfalls. Transparent fragrant air. Mountain caves. Ancient beech and coniferous forests. And dozens of paths and routes - from the lungs, for walks for a couple of hours, to serious eight-hour hikes. It is impossible to get lost in the reserve, there are signs all around, but one should not go into the thicket in order not to disturb the local fauna.
