Innovative US entrepreneurs Elon Musk announced the imminent opening of the first Hyperloop vacuum tunnel under Los Angeles.
“The first tunnel is almost ready. It will open on December 10 2018,” the billionaire and the head of the space company Musk wrote on Twitter.
The Hyperloop tunnel began to be built at the end of June 2018 by Mask The Boring Company. According to the businessman, trains in a vacuum tube will be able to reach speeds of up to 250 km per hour.
Musk announced plans to build a network of tunnels not only under Los Angeles, but also under Washington, as well as in Texas and San Francisco.
