New Istanbul Airport Opens

NewsFriday, 26 October, 2018
Istanbul is preparing to open a new main airport. The official ceremony will be held on October 29 2018 - the anniversary of the formation of the modern Turkish state. At the same time, the first flight will be made, but the first two months the airport, in which there is still a lot of deficiencies, will operate in a minimum mode - up to five flights per day.
It is planned that a hotel with 451 rooms (under the Yotel brand) will be at the airport. Airport parking will be designed for 18 thousand covered and 22 thousand open spaces. A part of services, cafes and shops can start working later than opening a terminal or transferring the majority of flights.
