From Duresta sofas to Carpe Diem beds (as used by the Swedish Royal Family) supreme comfort is assured throughout and makes this one of the most luxurious villas in Madeira, with the added bonus that it is one of the few villas in Funchal that allows you to walk into town. The open-plan lounge/dining is vast (12,5m X 5,7m) and offers two ample seating areas and an elegant dining table.

French windows lead onto the garden and front terrace. Featured in a corner is a large flat screen TV with cable channels, surround sound system and DVD. The kitchen is large, contemporary and very well equipped, with 4-ring electric hob, built-in electric oven, dishwasher, double-door American style fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker and juicer.

A breakfast table benefits from the views to the hills and ocean through the French doors that lead to the front terrace. A flat screen cable TV allows you to keep up with the news at breakfast time. A separate barbecue room features a bread oven, traditional Madeira barbecue for grilling espetada and electric hob and sink| The whole of the lower floor is an amazing social and leisure area. Table tennis, table football and a pool table are complemented by a variety of table games (poker, mah-jong, rummycub, and children's games) and features an outstanding middle-east inlaid table for backgammon, chess and draughts. A seating corner with a large flat-screen TV with CD player (a variety of music is available) is served by a fully equipped bar.

It leads to the steps that access the indoor pool and a visitor's toilet. A large office with desk and meeting table can be found off the leisure area, a great solution for those needing to deal with business whilst on holiday. The bedrooms are all beautifully furnished; four are on the first floor (three with en-suite bathrooms) along with a family shower room.

The Master bedroom is very spacious and features a dressing area and en-suite bathroom with whirlpool bath and walk-in shower. Both this and the second bedroom have private balconies with those superb views. The fifth bedroom is on the ground floor, suitable for those with limited mobility| All beds are Carpe Diem king-sized doubles with conjoined single mattresses, guaranteeing the greatest comfort. The heated pool is nothing short of spectacular. Very large at 8,5m X 5,5m it is an interior pool with large glass panes that open up to the garden and view, perfect for both summer and winter, surrounded by easy chairs and sunbeds.

There are changing/shower rooms and toilet facilities available. For those that want to keep up their fitness regime, there is a bicycle, treadmill and cross-walker on a mezzanine overlooking the pool.
