There are a number of hotels and bars offering evening entertainment and if Scuba Diving is your passion, the hotels offer scuba diving courses| The village of Caniço is about a 20 minute walk up hill and there is a regular bus service. There you have the main supermarket, chemist, post-office and a small shopping centre and yet more restaurants. Central to the village is the church and its square, where you can sit with a cup of tea or something stronger and watch the world pass by| The cosmopolitan capital of Funchal is also easy to reach as there is an express bus service into the city centre.
